Berlin – a city in progress

The fall of the Wall and the regained function as Germany's capital have been to Berlin as well a starting point for a renaissance of its city character. Rapid changes of its townscape, a quick transformation from an industrial to a modern service and information based society show it clearly: this city is in progress!

Besides the most important sightseeing points we show you the government quarter in the curve area of river Spree, explain you the ãRibbon of the FederationÒ which is among Berlin's biggest urbanist projects and we present you the new Main Station. We point you out the previous course of the Wall and make urbanist changes explicit. New bridges nowadays again relate Western and Eastern shore of river Spree and present beautiful perspectives.

Museum Island is an unique cultural ensemble in the historic center and gives you another highlight. There restoration works are going on and Bode Museum is already displaying its new splendor. You are eye-witness ot the Palace of the Republic being demolished. Will the city castle be reconstructed?
