Third Reich – The Nazis' Berlin
"I cannot eat as much as I would like to throw up", thus the famous expression done by the painter Max Liebermann after he had watched from his balcony the torchlight procession passing under the Brandenburg Gate. Many important Nazi ministries were situated around Paris Square and along Wilhelmstra§e. We explain you Hitler's plans for Berlin's remodelling into the world's capital, called Germania; and we show you the buildings of the former Ministry of Propaganda, the former Air Force Ministry and the places of Hitler's Office (the 'New Chancellor's Office') and of his Bunker of which plaques remind us today. In the cellar remnants of the former Gestapo headquarter is installed the exhibition "Topographie of Terror" - you may end the tour here.
